香山静宜园在京城西北郊“三山五园”中相地最胜，规格最高，是融自然、历史、人文景观于一体，独具山林特色的皇家园林典范。
致远斋始建于清乾隆十三年（1748），与勤政殿、虚朗斋及丽瞩楼同为静宜园皇家宫殿区，庭院占地面积3430平方米，建筑面积723平方米，由致远斋、韵琴斋和听雪轩等建筑组成，其名取自“非澹泊无以明志，非宁静无以致远”，为乾隆皇帝治国理政的重要场所。
Jing Yi Garden of the Fragrant Hill belongs to “three mountains and five gardens” scenic spots of northwest suburbs of Beijing and is the one with the best Fengshui site and the largest scale. It integrates natural, historical and cultural landscapes to form a model of royal garden with distinct mountain forest feature.
Zhi Yuan Room was built in the 13th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1748),Like Qinzheng Palace, Xulang Room and Lishu Building, the yard is also located at the royal palace area of Qingyiyuan, covering an area of 3,430 m2 and with a floor area of 723 m2, it consists of Zhiyuan Room, Yunqin Room and Tingxuexuan Room, etc. Zhi Yuan Room once was an important place where the emperor Qianlong handled official business of the country and its name is derived from the poem “One can't show high ideals without simple living; neither he can have lofty aspirations without a peaceful state of mind”.
