Qinzheng Hall (Hall of Diligent Governance)

Qinzheng Hall is located inside the park’s east gate and was first built in the tenth year of the Qing Dynasty’s Qianlong era (1745). It served as an important venue for Qing emperors to conduct state affairs and receive ministers during their stays at Jingyi Garden on Xiangshan, and it is the foremost of the “Twenty-Eight Scenic Spots of Jingyi Garden”. The hall was burned down by the Anglo-French allied forces in the tenth year of the Xianfeng era (1860), with only its foundation remaining. The park carried out reconstruction on the original site in 2002, which was completed in July 2003. Qinzheng Hall is the most iconic royal-style building in Xiangshan Park, and the plaque outside the hall is inscribed by Emperor Qianlong himself.
