The Red Leaves of Xiangshan
Yuhua Temple

Yuhua Temple was first built in the ninth year of the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty (1444) by the eunuchs Wei Jing and Li Fuxi. Also known as Yuhua Retreat, its mountain lodges span over ten bays across a stream, with a pond behind the temple where a spring trickles gently, creating a serene and beautiful landscape. The current structure, known as Yuhua Xiu, serves as a rest stop for visitors to take a break and enjoy tea during their ascent, and is also one of the best locations for viewing the red autumn foliage.
